Amulets, Idolatry And The Likes

The creation of images and worshiping figures has been a type of amulet used from ancient times to the present, where an image is worshiped, and people believe it can grant what one desires.

Likewise, cards are amulets that, through a thought, idea, or pattern, steer the mind toward awareness of what they represent and interpret, seeing them as a guide.

Let’s take drawing a card where the revealed image represents death as an example. By channeling the thought, the interpreter can metaphorically view death as the end of the outer self and the rebirth of the inner self. It can also signify the death of a loved one, the end of attachment to something or someone, and so on. The image of death can hold countless meanings, shaped by the individual and their circumstances.

In the same way, the image of a man on a horse can mean one thing or another at that moment, just like in dreams—images passing through our minds at a given time. However, when interpreted, the image might have nothing to do with what was initially perceived. Still, that image helps to identify something specific or a particular circumstance at that moment. You see?

Take as an example a recent dream where you thought it meant something, only to realize later that it ended up meaning something completely different from what you initially thought.

Going back to the amulet, take as an example the simplicity of an amulet, like a rabbit’s foot, used to attract good luck. Of course, by having the amulet with you, your mind will stay positive and focused on that possibility, allowing you to see good fortune in everything around you.

The same happens with hand-worn items, such as placing a bracelet on a newborn, a practice long carried out in witchcraft to protect them from evil spirits

Likewise, the amulet of the lit candle leads one to see light as a symbol of goodness. However, the souls of those who have left this earthly plane but remain bound to it are not amulets but living beings wandering through these worlds.

If the soul (spirits), in its most recent existence, believed that a lit candle serves as a guide to help it find its way to the light, then that soul will identify with the lit candle. If that belief is strong and the soul continues to wander, lost, and if the ideologically founded concept from its past life associated the lit candle as a source of energy where the soul can find the light to draw it closer to God, then that soul will be drawn to that light.

But whether it can find God through that light, NO. This is like someone who thinks that by attending (*)church, congregating, and idolizing God, they will find Him. But, do they really encounter God? (**) No.

Likewise, the wandering soul encounters a lit candle and interprets it as energy, creating an environment and mental state, or state of consciousness, that attracts it but does not lead it to the tunnel, the light, or any other means of transcending.

It’s like someone who is depressed, discouraged, and frustrated and goes to church seeking refuge. Therefore, the lit candle, the environment, and the circumstances can serve as refuges; that is how it also serves as a refuge to the wandering soul seeking shelter in that given moment.

That soul, drawn to the lit candle, finds refuge, peace, and positive energy to then depart as it keeps wandering because it only served as a refuge. You see?

The same happens while at church. All those lit candles represent the light, drawing those souls who come and go, seeking refuge, attracted by the light.

That is the function of the amulet—to provide refuge. By finding refuge, you find peace and harmony, that space where you seek to find yourself. It’s about seeking peace in a given moment, tranquility, support, and contentment—that is why it is called refuge, which is the amulet’s function.

They say that if you place a glass of water next to your bed while you sleep, all evil spirits are trapped in the water. When you wake up, the first thing you do is throw the water away, and all the evil spirits go with it. Do you think that a glass of water can actually trap an evil spirit? If it were true, all water reservoirs would be filled with spirits of ill will. You see?

But if you’ve been told and become convinced that placing a glass of water next to your bed with the intention of trapping any evil soul in that glass is true, then your awareness will create a refuge where you will find peace, knowing that any evil soul wandering around your environment enters that glass of water and is trapped. It sounds incredibly fantastical, but it works because that is the function of an amulet—it serves as a refuge.

If, upon waking up in the morning, your thoughts remain consistently positive, believing that no negative soul could penetrate your being, and you release that energy because you’ve allowed your conscious mind to create something positive out of something negative, with the positive being activated when you get out of bed and toss the water from the glass away, you are directing all negative energy toward the drain and out of your being.

But in truth, what you’ve really done is not allow negative thoughts to enter your mind, where those souls have no support for negative thoughts and are not attracted to your thoughts. Therefore, you walk away clean by being convinced and not having negative thoughts. In the end, it’s the thought that attracts both good and bad souls. You see?

The advanced don’t need amulets because they know that they can manifest everything through thought. They fully trust their knowledge, wisdom, and positive state of being based on their experience and because they have seen others attain the same. The advanced seek to emulate the advanced through meaningful thoughts without needing amulets. You see?

Annotations
Article 10 (*) The Collective uses the word “church” based on my religious belief at that time.
(**) The word “No” does not imply an absolute “no” but rather clarifies the belief that going to church, congregating, and being in union with the deity called God is not enough to reach that state of soul purification. This involves much more through detachment, and the desire to be with God on a deity level is in itself an attachment.
