4 When you sleep, your soul continues to manifest, seeking to assimilate what occurred during the course of the day. That is why fear can become a nightmare about a particular event, or joy can arise from something experienced with great longing.
5 Dreams also occur pleasantly from the desire to continue experiencing the joy you felt. There are also past reminiscences that the soul remembers having experienced and wants to live again to acquire further intellectual knowledge. You see?
6 This happens every day of your life. It is like having a reincarnation on a smaller scale, on a daily basis, and a once-in-a-lifetime reincarnation when the body dies and one must detach on a greater scale. You see?
7 Through this knowledge, one learns. That is why it has been said that one must live each day as if it were the last day of one’s life, because at the end of the day, the lessons learned are those that open the way for progress.
8 Until that has been manifested and understood, one does not move on to the next stage and must repeat the course again and again until it is finally understood.
9 Let us take a person as an example. Let’s say this person has to go through the lesson of understanding that something he did or is doing is wrong. Let us also say that the person goes through life and does not come to understand what he is doing wrong.
10 There will come a time in this person’s life in which an event will occur that helps him understand the learning process and makes him aware that what he has been doing is incorrect. Days may pass, and he may not be able to see it. Subsequently, another event may occur that leads him to understand firsthand that what he has been doing is wrong.
11 If even then this person does not want to understand it, events will continue to occur with increasing intensity so that he may come to understand. And if even then he does not understand, events will continue to occur with greater force until the person surrenders, and in surrendering and realizing that what he has been doing throughout his lifetime has been wrong, he will finally acknowledge it and yield.
12 Until this happens, this person will continue receiving similar experiences in different forms, each time stronger, one after another, until he learns the lesson.
13 Until this person goes through the experience of understanding his error at the basic intellectual level, he will not progress. An entire lifetime may pass without progressing, walking through paths that lead him to the same wrong, or rather, the so-called wrong, which are simply experiences he must go through in order to understand what it takes to become One. You see how all of this works?
14 Now then, what’s being explained to you here is that this state of awareness can be acquired through dreams without the need to experience it firsthand. If you ask for it in this way, so it shall be given to you, so that you may understand that this is universal knowledge.
