Take Life As A Learning Process

TRANSCRIPT T111031091628

Take life as a learning process throughout your life. Take everything you do, everything you see, and everything from your surroundings as learning experiences—and learn from them.

Don’t get hung up in the learning process by setting in motion the perpetual analysis paralysis of things. But at the same time, don’t live life as if nothing has happened.

Take, for instance, when you are learning a new sport or a new hobby. You may choose any example you like, but visualize it from what you are about to listen:

Visualize the learning process, how things are done, and how to improve. While you practice, you will understand some things, so don’t try to figure out everything.

Do the research, buy books, look through history or ask others with experience to better yourself as you gain confidence, and later put what you have learned into practice so you can do better and better each day on that given sport or hobby. And while you keep learning new things, you keep becoming informed, better, faster, and more efficient.

That is precisely the same thing you have to do with your life. The time you spent learning a new sport or hobby, spend it, but tenfold by learning from all your ups and downs in life.

Take, for instance, going to a gathering and having too much to drink. You learn at that moment that excessive drinking is not good for you. Still, you can also learn that you chose this experience to learn further about the consequences of too much drinking, and although you may have had fun in the process, the end-result teaches you the consequences of your actions.

Should you regret it? No, because not only did you learn something new, but in the process, you learned to let go because now you know how it feels. Others may get attached in the process and either dismiss the lesson and can even become dependent on the drinking cycle.

The same thing happens in our lives. We get so absorbed in life that we keep on dwelling in the physical world over and over again, one life after the other, not realizing there is something much greater than the physical world. But once we learn of the vicious cycle we are dwelling upon, we can begin to move forward.

But to do that, you have to see life every day, with every single experience you go through, and understand that it is either a learning process or simply a stage so you can learn from the outcome of what took place.

And because we live in a complex world, there are many things that we need to go through that are beyond our control, while realizing that we are co-creators.

Co-creator is self-explanatory: There is creation before us, and we live in this world as co-creators. Creation is already unfolding. And because we are part of that creation, we can’t control everything, but we can control how we see things or the way we react to things. Like it has been said before: Just as we have limitations, and because we are dwelling in this three-dimensional stage, we have to comply with those limitations and move forward. That simple of a step!
