8 Who took land from mother Earth, claimed ownership and sold it to someone else? That is stealing—an original sin. Stealing is taking what is not yours. And what is it that is yours on Earth? Nothing.
9 Even if instead of “nothing” you claim “everything” to be the answer, then everything belongs to men and who are you stealing from your fellowmen claiming it to be yours?
10 Arent you being drawn by the same principle of stealing?
If Earth belongs to every single one of us, who are you claiming ownership over something that belongs to everyone?

Explaining this Transcript may take me to deep waters because, although its content is very true, no one would give up their ownership of land since it has become the core foundation for survival.
But since I’m here to further explain the message and not to post what is convenient and discard the rest, let me explain this Transcript excerpt one article at a time.
Article 8 simply explain how, for instance, land ownership becomes theft, leading to sin, or to err.
The meaning of the word “original sin” as I was prompted to use, does not come from a religious point of view but rather a word used to describe the “errors” in humanity which has been rhetorically labeled as “sin” as it translates to “transgression against divine laws.”
To sin is to err, irrespectively of the implications given by theology. It also means to fail, to miss the mark (or target), offense, wrongdoing, misdeed, and the list goes on and on.
As to the fault becoming “stealing” and therefore an original sin, it comes from an intent of establishing it as one fundamental error of the soul: To take from others what doesn’t belong to you.
Everything on Earth belongs to no one. This has been established primarily by our ancestors before the first transgressor took ownership of what never belonged to them in the first place.
The sad history of our civilization has been written with the blood shed by those who suffered the invasion of the land they dwelled upon and by the ruling of those seeking dominion over the land.
As to articles 9 and 10; the answer is reversed to those who may claim that we have absolute dominion over Earth…and the answer reverts itself to answer them as well.
As more Transcripts become published material, you will notice that not all of its content is about the esoteric abstract of spirituality. There are also innumerable instances where The Transcripts bring thought-pondering issues to help us all understand many other aspects deemed unnoticed.
That doesn’t mean or imply that to become spiritual you must let go of all your belongings (which in essence is required once you reach a certain level of enlightenment) but for now, let’s keep it simple:
This passage is only to help you understand how wrong many of us are believing that spirituality is all about the esoteric when in essence it all starts by understanding how much wrongdoing (sin) we have committed against one another. From stealing to killing one another we all need to first set the record straight before we could truly advance.
Simply put: It’s not all about moving forward and leaving the past behind. Most of our errors of today are in direct relation with what we have done in the past, which needs to be brought back into balance before further advancing takes place.
As to the possession of the land: Had humanity understood that the land is where the soul inhabits while experiencing life through the senses; had humanity understood that our resources are one to share with everyone; had humanity understood that each and everyone’s talent are gifts that must be shared; and had humanity understood to take only what is needed and share the rest, today’s world would be a totally different place for the soul to dwell.
